Top Face Painting Ideas for Ibiza Kids’ Parties in English: When I arrive at a children’s party in Ibiza, face paints in hand, I never quite know what each child will ask me for. That’s part of the magic; each little face becomes a canvas for their imagination. Over the years, I’ve noticed certain designs that light up their eyes, ideas that bring laughter, joy, and a sense of wonder.
One of the things that makes my approach a bit different is that I never use printed example boards or catalogues of designs. I believe that giving a child a picture and asking them to choose from it limits their imagination, like giving them a tiny square and saying, “You can only colour inside this box.” But children don’t think in boxes. They think in galaxies, in stories, in wild colours and dreams.
So instead of showing fixed designs, I ask them: “What would you like to be?” And then we build it together. From their words, their expressions, and their own vision, I create a design that is truly theirs, not copied, not standard, but unique. It’s more than face painting; it becomes a moment of co-creation. It’s playful, it’s educational, and it teaches them that they can shape their world, not just follow someone else’s idea of what beauty or fun looks like.
Still, over time, some themes naturally become favourites.
One of the most popular designs here in Ibiza is the rainbow tiger. It’s bold, colourful, and full of energy, just like the island. The moment the first stripe is painted, the child transforms, they roar, they leap, they truly become their character. It’s always a show-stopper.
Then there are the mermaids. For children celebrating near the beach or pool, mermaids are a dream come true. I use shimmering tones and gentle lines to paint glistening scales and sea stars. It feels like the ocean itself joins the party.
Butterflies are another favourite. Each one is different, just like every child. Some ask for soft pastels, others for strong, electric colours. I love seeing them flutter around the garden once their transformation is complete.
And of course, unicorns never go out of style. With soft pinks, purples, and a little glitter on, I create magical creatures that seem to have stepped out of a storybook. Little ones proudly show off their unicorn princess faces to parents, friends, and even strangers passing by.
For the more adventurous children, the Spider-Man mask is always a hit. Quick to apply and full of superhero excitement, it brings out confidence and action in even the shyest little ones.
But Ibiza wouldn’t be Ibiza without a little fairy magic. My Ibiza fairy design is inspired by the nature around us, soft greens, flower details, and a sense of peace. Sometimes, these fairies don’t want to take their makeup off at all.
Dinosaurs are another request I get often, especially from younger children. Fierce roars and toothy smiles go hand in hand with green scales or dinosaur eyes. It’s pure fun.
For parties near the sea, I often get asked to paint dolphins, turtles, or jellyfish. I call these my ocean friends, and they always bring calm, happy energy to the group. Sometimes I even create matching designs for siblings or friends.
When the party continues into the evening, that’s when I bring out my UV face paints. Under blacklight, these neon designs come to life, glowing, shifting, and dancing along with the music. Ibiza nights have never looked so magical.
And finally, there are the designs that don’t fit into any box, the ones that come from the children themselves. A rainbow lion, a flower-spotted tiger, a robot mermaid… I’ve seen it all. These custom creations are often the most beautiful because they come straight from a child’s imagination.
Face painting is more than makeup. It’s a way for children to express themselves, to feel confident, to become who they want to be, even if just for a moment. And for parents, it’s a gift to see their child smiling, transformed, and full of joy.

Top ideas de pinta caras para fiestas infantiles en Ibiza en español: Cuando llego a una fiesta infantil en Ibiza con mis pinturas en la mano, nunca sé exactamente qué me pedirá cada niño. Y esa es precisamente la magia. Cada carita es un lienzo nuevo lleno de posibilidades. Con el tiempo, he visto qué diseños hacen brillar sus ojos, cuáles provocan carcajadas y cuáles despiertan esa chispa de ilusión tan única en los niños.
Hay algo que me diferencia como artista del maquillaje infantil: no uso catálogos con imágenes impresas ni diseños predeterminados. No creo en limitar la imaginación de un niño dándole solo opciones para elegir. Para mí, eso es como darle a un niño un cuadrado pequeñito y decirle que solo puede pintar dentro de ese espacio. Pero los niños no piensan en cuadraditos. Piensan en castillos, en galaxias, en criaturas mágicas que aún no existen.
Por eso siempre les pregunto: “¿Qué te gustaría ser?” Y desde ahí, comenzamos a crear juntos. Escucho sus palabras, observo su expresión, y desde su punto de vista diseño algo único, algo que nace de su propia imaginación. Para mí, este proceso es también educativo: les enseña que pueden crear su propio mundo, que su imaginación tiene valor, y que no siempre hay que seguir modelos fijos para ser bellos o divertidos.
Aun así, con el tiempo, hay ciertos diseños que se repiten porque encantan a los niños.
Uno de los favoritos en Ibiza es el tigre arcoíris. Lleno de color y energía, refleja muy bien el espíritu libre de la isla. Desde la primera raya pintada, los niños rugen, saltan, se transforman por completo. Siempre es uno de los más pedidos.
Las sirenas también son muy populares, sobre todo en fiestas cerca de la playa o la piscina. Uso tonos brillantes, detalles de escamas, conchas, estrellas de mar… y todo con un toque de brillo. Es como si el mar viniera a celebrar con nosotros.
Las mariposas también son muy queridas. Cada una es diferente, como cada niño. Algunas prefieren colores suaves, otras piden tonos eléctricos. Me encanta verlas correr por el jardín ya transformadas, con las alas imaginarias revoloteando.
Y los unicornios nunca pasan de moda. Con tonos pastel, toques de purpurina y un cuerno brillante, creo personajes salidos de un cuento. Muchas veces, no quieren ni lavarse la cara al final del día.
Para los más aventureros, la máscara de Spiderman es un clásico. Se aplica rápido y despierta ese espíritu valiente y activo, incluso en los niños más tímidos.
Pero Ibiza no sería Ibiza sin un poco de magia de hadas. Mi diseño de hada ibicenca está inspirado en la naturaleza: verdes suaves, detalles florales, y una sensación de paz. Muchas veces, cuando termino, me dicen que no se lo quieren quitar nunca.
También me suelen pedir dinosaurios, sobre todo los más pequeñitos. Rugidos, dientes feroces, escamas verdes… es pura diversión.
En fiestas cerca del mar, suelo hacer delfines, tortugas, medusas… lo que yo llamo “amigos del océano”. Siempre traen una energía tranquila y dulce. A veces incluso hago diseños combinados entre hermanos o amigos.
Y cuando la fiesta sigue por la noche, saco las pinturas UV. Bajo la luz negra, los diseños neón cobran vida: brillan, se mueven, bailan con la música. Las noches de Ibiza nunca han sido tan mágicas.
Y por último están esos diseños que no se pueden clasificar, los que vienen directamente de la mente del niño. Un león arcoíris, una tigresa con flores, una sirena-robot… lo he visto todo. Son, muchas veces, los más bonitos, porque nacen de la imaginación pura.
El pinta caras no es solo maquillaje. Es una forma de expresión, de confianza, de convertirse, aunque sea por un ratito, en quien realmente desean ser. Y para los padres, es un regalo ver a su hijo feliz, transformado, lleno de luz.
Por eso amo lo que hago. Y por eso llevo esta magia a cada evento, ya sea en Ibiza, o en cualquier rincón del mundo.
